This policy explains what personal information IPNTV collects through ipntv2.com, why we collect it, how we protect it and what choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), phone number, preferred language.
- Application information: date of birth, gender, marital status, city and state, Instagram handle, short biography, answers you give us, category.
- Photos and live selfie you upload or take on the website.
- Identity documents, if you are asked to verify your identity.
- Payment information: invoices, amounts, payment status and references. Card details are collected by the payment company (Stripe, PayPal or the crypto gateway), not by us.
- Messages you send to our team, and votes you cast.
- Technical information: IP address, approximate location (country and city worked out from the IP address), browser and device type, pages visited, referring website, and security events such as failed sign-ins.
2. How we use it
- To create and manage your account and application, and to run the competition (review, judging, voting, results).
- To verify age, identity and that photos are authentic.
- To issue invoices and process payments.
- To send service emails and text messages (for example confirmation codes, status updates, invoices).
- To protect the website and our users from fraud, abuse, bots and attacks, including blocking harmful IP addresses.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To promote the competition with finalist content, as described in the Media release.
- To meet legal obligations.
Where European law applies, our legal bases are: performing our agreement with you (running your application), your consent (biometric comparison, public profile, optional emails), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the service) and legal obligations.
3. Automated and AI checks
To keep the competition fair, photos are analyzed by automated tools. These read file information, look for signs of editing, test for AI-generated images and search for duplicates. Photos may be sent to AI service providers (such as Anthropic's Claude and, if enabled, an AI-image detection service) under contracts that do not allow them to use your photos to train their models. The tools only give a recommendation: every decision about your application is made by a person. You can ask for a human review of any result.
4. Biometric information
With your separate consent, we compare your photos with each other and with your live selfie to confirm they show the same person. Please read the Biometric data notice for what we do, how long we keep it and how to withdraw consent.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only with:
- service providers who work for us: web hosting, email delivery, text messages (e.g. Twilio), payments (Stripe, PayPal, crypto gateway), identity verification (e.g. Stripe Identity), AI analysis (e.g. Anthropic), IP location lookup, and bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile or hCaptcha);
- judges and authorized staff, limited to what they need;
- authorities, when the law requires it or to protect safety;
- a buyer or successor, if the competition is transferred, under the same protections.
6. What is public
Nothing about you is public until you become a finalist (or are approved, if the organizer shows approved contestants) and you agree to a public profile. Then your approved photos, first name and last initial or full name as you chose, category, city/state and short biography may be shown. Your date of birth, contact details, ID, address and messages are never public.
7. How long we keep it
- Unfinished applications: deleted after a period of inactivity (we email you first).
- Applications that are not accepted or are withdrawn: deleted after a set number of days after the decision.
- Identity document images: deleted after verification is complete, and no later than the end of the season.
- Finalist and winner content: kept for the history of the competition unless you ask us to remove it, subject to the Media release.
- Payment records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Visit records (analytics): kept for up to about 13 months. Security logs: up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate abuse.
8. Security
Photos and documents are stored outside the public part of the server and are only shown to signed-in, authorized staff. Identity documents and secret keys are encrypted. Connections use HTTPS. Staff use two-step sign-in and every staff action is logged. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as required by law.
9. Your rights
You can see, download and correct your information in your account. You can also ask us to delete your account and data, withdraw consent (for example to biometric comparison or a public profile), or object to certain uses. Email info@ipntv2.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
10. US state rights
Residents of California and other states with privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas and Oregon) have the right to know, access, correct and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising. You can use an authorized agent. We respond within the time the law requires.
11. Europe and the United Kingdom
If European or UK data protection law applies, you also have the right to restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local data protection authority. When data is transferred outside your country, we use recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
12. Children
The competition and this website are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
13. Changes and contact
We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will also email registered users. Questions or requests: info@ipntv2.com.
