You need three photos and one live selfie. Clear, natural photos help our team review your application faster.
The three photos
- Close-up portrait: face and shoulders, looking straight at the camera, eyes open, natural expression. No sunglasses, hats or anything covering the face (religious head coverings are fine if the face is fully visible).
- Half-body: from the waist up, facing the camera, arms relaxed.
- Full-length: head to toe, standing, the whole body inside the frame. Everyday or formal clothing.
The live selfie
The live selfie is taken inside the website with your phone or computer camera, while you do a simple gesture we show you (for example, touching your ear). It proves the photos belong to a real, present person. You cannot upload a file for this step.
Do
- Upload the original file straight from your phone or camera (JPG, PNG, WEBP or HEIC).
- Use photos taken within the last 6 months.
- Use soft daylight or even light, a plain background and a sharp focus.
- Make sure the short side of the photo is at least 1,000 pixels. Photos sent through WhatsApp, Telegram or social media are made smaller and usually fail this check.
- Normal makeup, hairstyling and clothing are welcome.
Do not
- Use filters, beauty or portrait-retouch modes, skin smoothing, reshaping or "face apps".
- Use AI tools to create, enhance, upscale or change any part of the photo.
- Crop other people out, add text, stickers, frames, logos or watermarks.
- Upload screenshots, photos of a printed photo, or pictures downloaded from the internet.
- Wear swimwear or underwear, or pose in a sexually suggestive way.
How photos are checked
Every photo goes through automated checks (file information, signs of editing, AI-image detection and duplicate search) and is then reviewed by a person. Location data (GPS) is removed from your photo files automatically. If a photo is not accepted you will see the reason in your account and can upload a new one.
